Come meet running legend Billy Mills.  Billy is our guest of honor and he and his wife Pat will be celebrating his 75th birthday with us in Overland Park.

Running legend and American Hero Billy Mills is our guest of honor in Overland Park at
the Double Road Race. 

All Double Road Runners will have the opportunity to meet Billy and will
be invited to special events.

"I remember watching Billy Mills shock
the nation when he won the gold medal
by winning the 10000m at the 1964
Olympics in Tokyo," says Double creator and Runner's World founder Bob Anderson. 
"We are excited to have Billy and his wife
with us at the Overland Park Double." 

The Double Road Race has many unique qualities.  Most of all it is a world class
and family fun event.

Winton wrote after finishing the 2012 Pleasanton Double, "Awesome time! I thought the Double was a very unique and exciting concept.  Lot more fun having to plan and strategize on how to attack both legs (10k + 5k) with the break. (Recovery Zone) with massages, exercise bikes and stretching stations.  My two kids loved running the Kids Cup Mile too."
