2nd Annual PACIFIC GROVE DOUBLE RACING FESTIVAL
Mother's Day Double 8k Run/Walk (Run/Walk 5k first & then 1:45 later the 3k leg starts) Fun new challenge
"Double Racing is a new sport. It is a two stage running event with a halftime in between. Our recovery zone will give you a chance to recover and get ready for the second stage. Times are combined for scoring. All Double finishers receive a medal, official shirt, bag, and more," says Bob Anderson, who created Double Racing, editor and publisher of Double Runner magazine, and is a lifetime runner.
"Thanks so much for bringing this challenging race to Pacific Grove. (photo left) It was my first Double and it was an amazing day. The course is fast and absolutely breath taking. I thought your recovery zone was well stocked and had a litte of everythng. I did my best 10k to date." Nancy Hood (Finish time 2:08:04 for the Double 15k).
"I run a lot of events in PG and the location is perfect. The snacks and services were really nice and event staff helpful. Overall a great day and I would do it again in a heartbeat. One Suggestion would be to have live music. Great job! Angela Gonzales
(We listen to our runners. We will have two live bands and a DJ this year. Both Nancy and Angela have already signed up for this year!)
